Solar panel cleaning

Dust, pollen, salt spray and bird droppings build up on panels and cut how much power they make. A proper clean gets them working at their best again.
- Soft-brush clean with purified water – no harsh chemicals that can damage panels
- Removes dirt, salt, pollen, lichen and bird droppings
- Visual check of panels, frames and mounting while we're on the roof
- We'll let you know about anything that needs attention
Two-storey, steep or hard-to-reach roofs may cost a little more – we'll always confirm the price before we start.

A thorough inspection of your whole system – solar panels, inverter and battery – by a licensed electrician, so small problems are caught before they become expensive or unsafe.
- Inverter check, including its error and fault history
- System output compared with what it should be producing
- Panels, mounting and roof fixings inspected
- DC isolators, cabling and connections checked for damage, heat or water
- Battery health, charge settings and backup checked (if you have one)
- Switchboard solar circuits and safety labels checked
- A clear summary of what we found and anything we recommend
If anything needs repairing, we'll explain it and quote it first – nothing extra is done without your OK.

Look after your investment
Solar and batteries are built to last, but they sit out in the weather every day. A little regular care keeps them safe, efficient and covered.
More power, lower bills
Dirty panels make less power – especially near the coast, where salt spray builds up. Clean panels mean more of your own solar and less from the grid.
Catch problems early
Worn isolators, loose connections and water getting into equipment can cause faults – and are a fire risk. A health check finds them before they become serious.

We check your battery's health, settings and backup, so it's storing your solar properly and ready when the power goes out.

Many manufacturers recommend regular maintenance. Keeping a record of servicing helps if you ever need to make a warranty claim.
How often?
A simple routine
- Panel cleaning – every 6 to 12 months. More often if you're close to the beach, near dusty roads or farmland, or have lots of birds or trees nearby.
- Health check – once a year, or straight away if your power bills jump, your inverter shows an error, or your battery isn't lasting like it used to.
